Toby Burton
Chief Executive Officer
I founded Burtons Group in 2017 with one simple ambition: to build a plumbing and heating company that people could genuinely rely on. I've always believed that doing the job properly, being honest, and treating customers with respect shouldn't be anything special - it should be the standard.
Watching the business grow from a small local company into a trusted national team has been incredibly rewarding. What makes me proudest, though, is the culture we've built. Every member of our team shares the same passion for delivering quality workmanship, taking pride in every job, and going the extra mile for our customers. It's those shared values that have helped shape Burtons Group into the company it is today - and they'll continue to drive us as we grow.
Lucy Bland
Personal Assistant
As Toby's Personal Assistant, Lucy is often the voice of reason, the organiser behind the scenes, and occasionally the person reminding him which meeting he's supposed to be in!
With over 10 years of administration experience, she's played a key role in Burtons Group's growth and is passionate about making sure every customer and every member of the team receives the support they need.
Nathan
Operations Manager
Nathan is our Operations Manager and works closely with Toby to keep Burtons Group running smoothly day in, day out. From supporting the team to overseeing projects and improving the way we work, he's always looking for ways to deliver the best possible service for our customers.
Friendly, approachable and always happy to roll his sleeves up, Nathan leads by example and is never afraid to get stuck in. He's always got a new idea up his sleeve... whether the rest of the team are ready for it or not!

Chris
Plumbing
Chris is the kind of engineer everyone hopes turns up at their door. Friendly, approachable and always happy to have a chat, he puts customers at ease from the moment he arrives. With years of plumbing experience behind him, there's not much he hasn't seen - or fixed!
Lewis
Plumbing
Lewis has been in plumbing since leaving school and has a real passion for the trade. He takes pride in every job, no matter how big or small, and always goes the extra mile to make sure it's done right.
He's also developed a bit of a reputation for his charm—whether that's helping with plumbing or winning over the customers, we'll let you decide! One thing's for certain: Lewis always leaves with a smile and a job well done.
Darren
Drainage
If it's blocked, backed up or simply refusing to behave, Darren is the man for the job. Armed with years of drainage experience and a great sense of humour, he tackles the jobs most people would rather avoid. He has a real talent for finding blockages in record time - and somehow still manages to keep smiling through it all.
Pat
Drainage
Pat has seen just about everything the drainage world can throw at him, so there's very little that catches him out these days. Calm under pressure and always ready with a joke, he knows every blocked drain has a solution—it just sometimes takes a bit of detective work to find it. Luckily, that's the part he enjoys most. It's no surprise Pat is a favourite with customers and the rest of the team alike.
Meet Our Apprentices!
Zack
Apprentice Plumber
Zack joined Burtons Group straight from school, knowing he wanted a career where every day is different and he could learn a proper trade. He's one of the kindest lads you'll meet - always smiling, always happy to help, and never one to stand around when there's work to be done. We just keep reminding him that "apprentice" doesn't actually mean chief tea-maker... although he does make a cracking brew!
Jacob
Apprentice Plumber
Jacob chose plumbing because he wanted a hands-on career where he could learn new skills and make a real difference to people every day. Friendly, polite and always eager to learn, he's never afraid to ask questions or get stuck in. Jacob is picking up new skills every day and becoming a valuable part of the team. The only thing growing quicker than his plumbing skills is his appetite at lunchtime... so don't leave your biscuits unattended!
Admin Team
Dean
Private Division
Dean is the friendly voice behind our Private Division, helping customers from their very first enquiry through to booking their jobs. Known for his collection of funky shirts, he believes there's no such thing as being overdressed for the office! When he's not keeping the diary running smoothly, he's looking after the newest members of the Burtons Group team - Avo & Cado, our office pet fish. They're not much help with the paperwork, but they do keep morale high!
Melissa
Insurance Division & HR
Melissa wears two hats at Burtons Group, looking after both our Insurance Division and our amazing team through her HR role. Whether she's supporting customers or supporting staff, she's always ready to listen and lend a helping hand.
Organised, approachable and always looking out for everyone, Melissa helps keep both the office and the team running smoothly. If there's a birthday card going around to sign for a member of staff, there's a good chance she's had something to do with it!
Aaron
Private Division
Aaron is part of our Private Division team, working alongside Dean to make sure every customer receives a friendly and efficient service. Whether he's booking appointments, answering enquiries or keeping everything organised behind the scenes, Aaron is always happy to help. When he's not looking after our customers, he's usually being reminded by Dean not to overfeed the office fish, Avo & Cado. We're still not sure whether he's trying to keep them happy or just make them as obsessed with snacks as he is!
Jess
Insurance Division
Jess is part of our Insurance Division and is often the friendly voice you'll hear on the other end of the phone. She loves helping customers, keeping claims on track and making sure everyone feels looked after from start to finish. With her cheerful personality and can-do attitude, Jess always brightens the office. She's also convinced a good cup of tea can solve almost anything... and to be fair, she's usually right!
